PLEASING

Pleasing

Dear children of God, let us try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord? We always want to please us or others in many things. But today let us try to discern and learn how to please our Lord Jesus Christ? Pleasing ourselves and others brings us shame and contempt; let us please God by doing what is good and right in the sight of God. Lord, teach me to do what is pleasing in your sight. This should be our prayer daily.   What does the Lord require to please him? With what shall I come before the Lord, and bow myself before God on High? Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old? Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams with the ten thousands of rivers of oil? Shall I give my first born for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? He has told us, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to do love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

STUMBLE:-  when  Israel was a child, I loved him, and out of Egypt I called my son. The more they were called, the more they went away; return, O Israel to the Lord, for you have stumbled because of your iniquity. Yet it was I who taught him to walk; I took them up by their arms, but they have refused to return to me. Stumble in sins or transgression means missing the mark. The iniquity of mankind is bound up and his sin is kept in store. Thus says the Lord: when men stumble, do they not rise again? When a baby stumble and fall, it looks around to seek his parent’s help by crying, but if no one notice his stumbling, then the baby will resume by rising up. If anyone turns away, does he not return? Why then have this people turned away in perpetual backsliding? They hold fast to deceit; they refuse to return. People give more importance to deceit than the truth. Every one turns to his course, even the stork in the heavens knows the times, and the turtledove, swallow, and crane keep the time of their coming, but my people know not the rules of the Lord. The fifth sense animals and birds know the ways and rules of the Lord but the sixth sense human know not the ways and rules of the Lord. We always do not accept the facts of what we have done. We coolly say that sorry, without knowingly did this mistake. We have to stop praying that without knowingly did this mistake. Like the prodigal son we have to accept the facts and have to say that Father, we have sinned against heaven and before you.

Dear friends, we know where we stumble upon. So let us come forward to please the Lord by saying the fact that we have stumbled in iniquity knowingly. We have sinned against the God in heaven and also we have sinned against our fellow mankind, brothers, sisters, parents and husband or wife. Openly we have to accept our faults and sins. Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy. Let us confesses our sins to get mercy from the lord. He is ready to forgive our sins to accept us as his own sons and daughters. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

When prodigal son confessed his unworthiness of being called as his son, but accept him as a servant of his own house. That pleased his father to accept him as his own son by giving the blessings what we have lacked. The prodigal son was lacked, when he has gone astray from his father’s love and presence. When father was pleased, he ordered his servants to bring him the best robe, and put on him and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet. And bring the fattened calf and kill it, and let us eat and celebrate.

Dear children of God, we cannot please God by offering sacrifices or offering our riches or wealth. God wants us to do what is right and good in the sight of the Lord. What does the lord require from us, but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with our God? Let us discern and learn to what is pleasing to God? Dear friends if you have learnt to please God, you will sure to receive the blessings and joy of celebration. Kindly share the joy of celebration with others and send a word to my email ID. revsjc@gmail.com, revsjc12@hotmail.com, johnchelliah857@yahoo.com.
