HAPPY CHRISTMAS.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS

Dear children of God  this is Christmas season. We need to know the love of God; which is shown in the Calvary cross through Jesus Christ. “For God so loved the world” that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.[JOHN3:16]. For God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him; whoever believes in him is not condemned. So it’s good to learn about Christmas. So that, we could celebrate this year Christmas meaningfully; May the Lord Jesus give abundant happiness and joy to celebrate the incarnation day.
Christmas day is celebrated on December 25th of each year. It is the day Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. The word “Christmas” means “Christ’s Mass”- derived from English term “Christ’s masse”. There are many different customs and traditions around the world. American customs come from many places. Santa Claus has a Dutch origin. He was developed from St. Nicholas who was a real person. St. Nicholas was the patron saint of school boys. He brought gifts to the children. The idea that Santa Claus comes down the chimney originated in Norway, where children hang Christmas stockings on the fire place mantel. Christmas trees have the pagan origins. When the pagans became Christian, they used evergreens [a sacred tree] for the holiday by decorating them with nuts and candles. They sang Christmas carols as they danced around the tree. Christmas colors are red and green. Today, traditional Christmas activities include caroling, making and giving gifts, sending cards to family and friends, and enjoying festive dinners and parties.
