CELEBRATE

CELEBRATE

Dear children of God, wish all a very merry Christmas and a happy new year 2013. Let us celebrate the good news proclaimed by the angels about the birth of Jesus Christ. Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased! And the angel of the Lord said to them, fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this is the will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in the manger.  The people of Israel were waiting for the Messiah who will rule like King David. In the 8thc prophet Isaiah prophesied about the birth of anointed one who is Messiah and name is called Emmanuel, and behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and he shall call his name Immanuel. The people were waiting for the king shall rule them with peace, joy and happiness. Let us go over to Bethlehem and see this that has happened, which the Lord has made known to us.

COME, LET US CELEBRATE:- the birth of Jesus Christ is proclaimed and the place of his birth is also proclaimed, let us go over there to celebrate his birth, because he has come to this world to save us from sins. He has come to redeem us from the bondages and clutches of sins, Satan and the death. The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came to this world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost. People of Israel were waited to redeem from their political bondages from the Romans. But Jesus came to this world to redeem us from not only the physical but spiritual bondages. For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. So let us celebrate his redemptive role and rule.

OFFER, LET US CELEBRATE:- After Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the King, behold, wise men from east came to Jerusalem, saying, where is he who has been born King of Jews? we saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him. Herod inquired of them where the Christ was to be born. The wise men are called as Magi in Greek, which means magician. They were respected in Persia. Persian regarded them as Philosophers and Priests. The three wise men that came to see Jesus came from the east. The people from the east indulged in practicing divination. Of course they were wise and experts in many fields. Whatever may be their background, on seeing the star they humbled themselves and came seeking Jesus Christ with precious gifts. When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all the Jerusalem with him; and assembled all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he inquired of them where the Christ was to be born. They told him, in Bethlehem of Judea, for it is written by the prophet: “and you, O Bethlehem, in the land Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for from you shall come a ruler who will shepherded my people Israel.”  Behold, the star that they had seen when it rose went before them until it came to rest over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy. Going into the house they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh. Let us celebrate the greatest gift Jesus, we have received from our Lord God, and let us open our treasures to offer him our gifts of thanksgiving. Let us celebrate his God’s gift by sharing our joy and love, sent gifts to which they have not. Let us fall down to worship him by offering our gifts of Gold, frankincense, and myrrh. He has come to save us by giving himself as propitiation for our sins, and not for our only but also for the sins of the world.

PROCLAIM, LET US CELEBRATE:- The shepherds went with haste and found Mary and Joseph and the baby lying in the manger. And when they saw it, they made known the saying that had been told them concerning this child. And all who heard it wondered at what the shepherd told them. Let us celebrate Christmas by proclaim the good news of Jesus the Savior is born in this world to save sinners and he came down to die for our sins.  Proclaim the good tiding of Jesus’ birth is to redeem us from the bondage of sins, Satan and death. Proclaim the new hope of salvation and redemption. Proclaim the good news what you have experienced in this Christmas day.  Unless and until we proclaim the good news of salvation and redemption, it wills mere a futile celebration only.

Dear children of God, Christmas brings great joy and delight to all of us. It is on this day the invisible God incarnated the form of a human being and came into this world and born of a virgin. That is why people irrespective of religions, greet one another on this joyful day. Let us share our joy by sending gifts to one another and celebrate. It is imperative for you to receive his gift of forgiveness of sins, the fullness of his holy spirit and his abundant blessings from the new born Infant Jesus.
