JESUS REDEEMS FROM BATTLE.

JESUS REDEEMS FROM BATTLE   January-7 2014

Promise verse- he redeems my soul in safety from the battle that I wage, for many are arrayed against me.-PSALM 55:18.

Dear children of God today every mankind faces battle in life. This battle looks and brings affliction and depression like battle between nations. Many of us got in to the battle and suffer. But our Lord Jesus redeems us from the battle that we wage, for many are arrayed against us. And he gives victory over battle and honors us.
1.      God redeems king Asa from the battle: - Zerah the Ethiopian came out against Judah with an army of a million men and 300 chariots, and came as far as Mareshah. Asa had an army of 300,000, armed with large shields and spears, and 280,000 men from Benjamin that carried shields and drew bows. All these were mighty men of valor. And Asa did what was good and right in the eyes of the Lord his God. He took away the foreign altars and the high places and broke down the pillars and cut down the Asherim and commanded Judah to seek the Lord, the God of their fathers, and to keep the laws and commandment.  And Asa went out to meet him [Zerah], and they drew up their lines of battle in the valley of Zephathah. And Asa cried to the Lord, “O Lord, there is none like you to help, between the mighty and weak. Help us, O Lord our God, for we rely on you, and in your name we have come against this multitude. O Lord, you are our God; let not man prevail against you. So the Lord defeated the Ethiopians before Asa and the people of Judah, and the Ethiopians fled. Asa and the people who were with him pursued them as far as Gerar, and the Ethiopians fell until none remained alive, for the fear of the lord was upon them. They were broken before the Lord and Asa’s army. The men of Judah carried away very much spoil. Today our lord Jesus Christ who won the battle of death will redeem us from the battle we face.

2.      Jesus redeems a woman caught in Adultery: - the scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in adultery and placing her in the midst they said to Jesus, “Teacher, this woman has been caught in the act of adultery. Now in the Law Moses commanded us to stone such woman. So what do you say?” Jesus bent down and wrote with his finger on the ground. And as they continued to ask him, he stood up and said to them, “Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her. And once again he bent down and wrote on the ground. But when they heard it, they went away one by one, beginning with the older ones. Jesus was left alone with the woman standing before him. Jesus stood up and said to her, “woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you? She said, “no one, Lord. Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you; go and from now on sin no more. Jesus had redeemed her from the battle of the scribes and Pharisees who were condemned to death. Today brothers and sisters Jesus knows your battle against you and your family, he is ready to redeem you from the battle arrayed against you. Jesus redeems us from all kinds of battles and fear of death and condemnation. Let us come to Jesus who redeems us.
