THE BLESSING OF THE LORD MAKES RICH
What all the blessings of riches, we have, are given by the gracious hand of God. Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. ‘In your hand are power and might, and in your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all. And now we thank you, our God, and praise
your glorious name.
Our wealth’s and riches are not our own. But they are belongs to God alone and he is the owner of our wealth’s and riches. We are only stewards to wealth’s and riches. We brought nothing in to the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. Every one also to whom God has given wealth and possessions and power to enjoy them, and to accept his lot and rejoice in his toil – this is the gift of God. Whosoever hastens to be rich will not go unpunished.
Money cannot satisfy any greedy man ‘soul and money cannot save any decaying man ‘soul. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul.
How much more wealth’s and riches, a man have, he wants to have than what he had. Those who desire to be rich fall in to temptation, in to a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people in to ruin and destruction. As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor ‘to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. They are to do well, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may ‘take hold of that which is truly life.
The churches of Macedonia, gave themselves first to the Lord and then by the will of God to us. They in a severe test of affliction, their abundance of joy and their extreme poverty have overflowed in a wealth of generosity on their part. Dear children of God, let us not hastens to become rich. Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, here moth and rut destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. The blessings of the wealth’s and riches are from God, so let us thankful to him and be faithful steward.
