THE MYSTERY OF LOVE
Love is a mystery
in some ways which something not fully understood. We all want it, we all
desire it and we all crave it. Solomon writes like this, there are three things
that are too wonderful for me, four that I do not understand: the way of an
eagle in the sky, the way of a snake on a rock, the way of a ship in the sea,
and the way of a man with a woman [proverbs 30:18-19]. God uses many different
Hebrew and a Greek word to describe love.it has many expressions including
sexuality within a context of covenant and marriage.
True love is a
knowing experience, not just informal. Love is always possessive, my lover is
mine and I am his, it insists on spontaneity, do not arouse or awaken love
until it so desires. It is stronger than death; love’s jealousy is as strong as
the grave. It is unquenchable even by the Ocean depths, No amount of water can
put it out. Rivers can’t drown it. All of man’s possessions cannot purchase it,
nor should they exchange for it. God intends that such love but grossly
distorted and abused by both ancient and modern people. True source of love
will only be found in Jesus in the normal part of Christian life.
