PRAYER BRINGS VICTORY

PRAYER BRINGS VICTORY

Dear children of God prayer is a sweet experience sharing with God. In prayer we speak to God and have fellowship with him. Adam and eve had fellowship with God in the cool of the day. God walked in the Garden and they walked along with God. Enoah walked with the Lord365 years. This fellowship and presence of God gives the victory in the human’s life. Daniel learned this and spent time with God three times every day in prayer. Let us learn to spend time with God every day in our life and we can lead a victorious life.

All the presidents of the kingdom, the prefects and the satraps, the counselors and the governors are agreed that the king should establish an ordinance and enforce an injunction, that whosoever makes petition to any god or man for thirty days, except you, O king, shall be cast into the lion’s den. Now, O king, establish the injunction and sign the document, so that it cannot be revoked. Therefore king Darius signed the document and injunction. When Daniel knew that the document had been signed, he went to his house where he had windows in his upper chamber open toward Jerusalem. He got down on his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God; as he had done previously. Then these men came by agreement and found Daniel making petition and plea before his God. Then king command, and Daniel was brought and cast into the den of lion. The king declares to Daniel, Oh servant of living God, may your God, whom you serve continually, been able to deliver you from the lions? Then Daniel said to the king. O king, My God sent his angel and shut the lion’ mouths, and they have not harmed me.

Daniel’s prayer brought him victory and God answered the individualer’s prayer and sent his angel into the lion’s den to shut the lion’s mouths and have not to harm him. Any individualer prays to God, and he answers the prayer and gives him or her victory over their enemies and changes the rules of the government upside down. Then the king Darius wrote to all the peoples, all languages that dwell in all earth; I make a decree, that in all my royal domination people are to tremble and fear before the God of Daniel, for he is the living God, enduring forever; his kingdom shall never be destroyed, and his dominion shall be to the end. He delivers and rescues; he works signs and wonders in heaven and on earth, he who has saved Daniel from the power of the lions.

Our God not only hears the prayers of individuales, and he hears the prayers of groups and brings victory.  Herod the king laid violent hands on some who belonged to the church. He killed James, the brother of John with the sword, and when he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded to arrest Peter also. This was the season of unleavened bread. And when he had seized him, he put him in prison, delivering him over to fours squad of soldiers to guard him, intending after the Passover to bring him out to the people. So Peter was kept I n the prison, but earnest prayer for him was made to God by the church.

Now when Herod was about to bring him out, on that very night, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers bound with two chains, and sentries before the doors were guarding the prison. And behold an angel of the Lord stood near to him, and a light shone in the cell.  He struck Peter o n the side and woke him, saying “get up quickly”. And the chains fell off his hands. And the angel said to him, “dress yourself and put on your shoes.” wrap your cloak around you and follow me. And he went out and followed him. He did not know that what was being done by the angel was real. When they passed the first and the second guard, they came to the Iron Gate leading into the city. It opened for them of its own accord, and they went out and went along one street, and immediately the angel left him. When peter came to himself, he said, now I am sure that the Lord has sent his angel and rescued me from the hand of Herod and fro m all that the Jewish people were expecting.

Peter went to the house of Mary, the mother of john mark where many were gathered together and were praying. A group of people were praying for peter’s release from the prison and no one could go inside the prison but God sent his angel inside the prison cell itself, and the chains were loosed and gates were open accordingly. Peter came outside with great victory. Now when the day came, there was no little disturbance among the soldiers over what had become of peter. And searched for him and did not find him. He examined the sentries and ordered that they should be put to death.

Dear friends’ prayer always brings victory to all who seek God diligently. Today, how about our prayer life? Our God, who is hearing our prayers, answering our prayers, and brings victory in our life. Prayer is a sweet time to enjoy the presence of God, Who holds our breath and life in his hand. So let us come to our Lord with confident, he is a God who gives victory over sufferings, helpless time, and people and government against us. Let us not weary in prayers but wait upon the Lord, and they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
