THE MYSTERY OF LOVE

Love is a mystery in some ways which something not fully understood. We all want it, we all desire it and we all crave it. Solomon writes like this, there are three things that are too wonderful for me, four that I do not understand: the way of an eagle in the sky, the way of a snake on a rock, the way of a ship in the sea, and the way of a man with a woman [proverbs 30:18-19]. God uses many different Hebrew and a Greek word to describe love.it has many expressions including sexuality within a context of covenant and marriage.

True love is a knowing experience, not just informal. Love is always possessive, my lover is mine and I am his, it insists on spontaneity, do not arouse or awaken love until it so desires. It is stronger than death; love’s jealousy is as strong as the grave. It is unquenchable even by the Ocean depths, No amount of water can put it out. Rivers can’t drown it. All of man’s possessions cannot purchase it, nor should they exchange for it. God intends that such love but grossly distorted and abused by both ancient and modern people. True source of love will only be found in Jesus in the normal part of Christian life.

INTRODUCTION:- Fr. Berchmans was born on august 3^rd 1949 in Susaipatti village near Madurai. His parents are stanch Roman Catholic Christians and farmers. Fr. Berchmans studied at St. Mary’s higher secondary school at Madurai and then continued his studies in Roman Catholic theological seminary to become a vicar at Roman Catholic Parish. He was ordained as a Roman Catholic Priest on 1974.  He was saved by the Grace of God on 1983 and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and Lord and continued his ministry as vicar in Roman Catholic Diocese. He was very much interested in music and writing songs for God’s glory.  He has written more than 400 songs and more than 50 albums in Christian songs. God has given him music wisdom and talents to use for His Glory.  Roman Catholic diocese excommunicated him from vicar ministry but he continued God’s ministry as full time evangelist and singer.  He settled at kalaiyar koil near sivaigangaiah district doing Jaba thottam   ministry.

Who is this Fr. Berchmans ?:-   Fr. Berchmans  shared his testimony like this even though he studied theological studies and ordained as vicar in Roman Catholic Parish, he did not have the personal relationship with the Heavenly Father Jesus Christ. So he lived as he likes. He was very interested in playing music and creating dramas in the village stages. He was playing cine music in the village stage wearing with cassock. He was playing love songs with cassock robe. By seeing this scenery an old lady came to him with a burden heart and said:\” Father has you been ordained for this shameful and sinful thing to demonstrate in the stage? You have been ordained for the holy priestly hood ministry, but you are playing cine love songs on the stage. When Fr. Berchmans heard this saying he felt very ashamed of his doing and he left the place as soon as possible. God spoke to him very definitely, saying you are supposed to show the heavenly things but you are showing very dirty and sinful things to the people. Is this your duty?  That day itself he surrendered himself for God’s calling and started to preach and testify his salvation.

He started to use his music talents and poetic for God’s glory and God started to use him mightily as His instrument. His songs are composed from the bible verses and also the songs are very soothing to the aching hearts and burden hearts.  Once in Malaysia, there was a gentle man shared his testimony like this. I was deserted by my wife and children and lost my business. I have no money and income. So my condition was very pathetic, I had decided to kill myself.  I took my car and riding very fast. Fortunately I had a cassette sung by Fr. Berchmans given by my friend played in the car. The song verses went like this vinanappath kadpavara kanneerai konpavara {hearing my supplications and seeing my tears} spoke to me and wiped my tears and gave me peace and salvation. I have surrendered myself to God’s voice through this Father Berchmans ‘song. God is using him as his music instrument throughout the world.

His songs and melody are echoes in the nuke and Connor of Indian villages in different vernaculars. The whole world is praising Jesus Christ and worshipping him through his beautiful and sweet melody songs. His songs reached the poor, rich, educated and uneducated.  Brothers and sisters, today are you called and anointed by God and His Holy Spirit for His holy ministry? Still you are playing fool around.  Is it your duty? Consider and come to Jesus Christ and serve him.

STRONG CONFIDENCE.

STRONG CONFIDENCE- JANUARY-7-2014

PROMISE VERSE: -In the fear of the Lord one has strong confidence, and his children will have a refuge. Proverbs -14; 26

Dear friends every human must have strong confidence for peaceable living. God only gives us strong confidence to live peaceable in this world. Without God’ help we can live peaceable. Many people live without strong confidence; so people live in weary and sorrow. God’s children get strong confidence in the fear of God and his children also have a refuge.

1.      Strong confidence is given to who fear God: - Joshua servant of Moses walked in the fear of God. So after the death of Moses God gave him strong confidence and authority to conquer the milk and honey flowing land Canaan and defeated 14 strong and big kings of the land. He shared the land to the 12 tribes of Israel. God gave strong confidence and said that no man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forsake you. Be strong and courageous, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land that I swore to their fathers to give them. Be strong and courageous, do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord God is with you wherever you go.

2.      Strong confidence is given to those who call God: - Jabez don’t want to live in sorrow, so he called upon the lord, who gave him confidence and made him honorable among his brothers. Jabez was more honorable than his brothers; and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, ‘because I bore him in and pain and sorrow. Jabez called upon the Lord God of Israel, saying, “oh that you would bless me ans enlarge my border, and that your hand might be with me, and that you would keep me from harm so that it might not bring me pain and sorrow. And God granted what he asked.

3.      Dear friends’ today God will give strong confidence to remove your pain and sorrow. When king David was greatly distressed he was strengthened himself in the Lord his God. David inquired of the Lord, he answered him, pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and rescue everything. Let us have strong confidence in the lord to seek his face and get timely help. He will honor you  in the eyes of your enemies and give strong confidence to overtake them.

Dear friends blessing prayer for New Year will find you a blessed one. God of our fathers, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Jabez will bless you in this New Year. O lord our heavenly father we thank you for this New Year, your throne, O God, is forever and ever, the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom. You, Lord, laid the foundation of the earth in the beginning, and the heavens are the works of your hands; they will perish, but you remain. They will all wear out like a garment, but you are the same, yesterday and today and forever and your years will have no end.

Jesus, give me the strength to make it through!

Lord Jesus, please give the strength and power;

To help me to make if through my darkest hour!

In the midst of this darkness…path

I need your guiding light!

With your timely helps; everything will be alright.

I need you now! Like I've never needed you before!

Through life’s difficulties and struggles

I need you so much more!

By your strength, and gentle loving hand leading

Everything I go through. I know you understand me!

HAPPY WEDDING LIFE.

Dear friends, people used to spent more money on wedding with many good dreams and expectations. But all of sudden our dreams of wedding life become a broken one. Why this happens? Because the lack of understanding about our marriage’s aim. Let us understand first the God’s plan and purpose of our marriage. Then the lord God said, “It is not good that man/ woman should be alone. I will make him/ her helper [partner] fit for him/her. First thing marriage is from the lord God who makes plan purpose for our family life. Second thing the man said “this at last is bone of bones and flesh of flesh; she shall be called woman, because she was taken out of man. Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. One flesh means husband and wife should understand each other to prepare each other to help and satisfy them. Sharing the love and satisfying the wants of each other. Thirdly to raise godly and God feared generation. God’s plan and purpose of our marriage is to raise godly children. Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.

1.      Marriage is a holy covenant:- covenant is not simply an agreement between two parties or persons. It is a holy or Sacramental act by which two parties or persons commit towards each other and promise to each other to keep their holy vows that have been taken in the presence of God. Christian marriage is most honorable because husband wife should love each other from the depth of their heart and mind. And they committed each other to help and be concern, obey and share love between them. There should be a transparency like an open book. In the covenant, marriage life should be a holy one and loving one. Illegal relationship breaks the happy family life. They should have confident with each other. Doubts and misunderstanding breaks the happiness in the family.

2.      Fit helper to each other: - wedded life is happier one; when they fit to help in all circumstances and situations. Fit helper not only in happiness but also in sorrowful situations. Scarified help in sickness and bad, anxiety situations.  Living together in all situations should be in God’s plan and purpose of our life. People used to spend more time before marriage through cell phone and internet and other Medias; but after marriage find difficult to spend time with their loving partners. Spend time with your loving partner and loving children. Help each other to reach his or her aim and goal. Next thing to help each other is to forgive each other. Everybody has short comings so it is tend to forgive each other from the bottom of heart like Christ has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other as the lord Jesus has forgiven you. And above all these put on love, which binds ever thing together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts to which indeed you were called. 5 tips to reveal your love to be fit helper. Appreciate each other’s with sincerer heart even in small things- your dress is nice, new taste in your cooking.  Listen to your wife’s or husband’s words. Often you make happy your partner with surprise gifts. Give always helping hands. Hold hands each other often to reveal your love and spend time together.

3.      Marriage is a sign of God’s blessing: - a prudent wife or husband from the lord. He who finds a wife or her who finds a husband finds a good thing and obtains favor from the lord. Husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, as just as Christ does the church, because we are members of his body. Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.

4.      Happy wedding life is not fantasy or dream world life but it is all reality. TV, internet and all other Medias shows that happy wedded life is like singing, eating and enjoying life. But happy wedded life is more than that. Living together and facing together life, that is reality. Wife or husband may be expecting her or his partner should be hero or heroine. But in reality everything may be entirely different. But he or she is ready to accept the fact in the real happy wedded life. Here comes the scarified love to accept each other as they are. Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God and whoever loves has been born of God and knows of God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.
