                    CAIN [VERY ANGRY MAN]

GEN4:6-The Lord said to Cain, why are you angry, and why has your face fallen?

Dear children of God greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus who puts emblem of redemption to save from sins and gives forgiveness and eternal life. Today we are going to analyze the character of Cain and its consequences. Cain’s character of very angriness imparted to whole human race, and some time we do not realize the facts. Cain was the first born of Adam who possessed the sinful nature which imparted to him. Adam had two sons and they had different jobs. Cain was a farmer and Abel was a shepherd. Adam and eve thought them to worship God with offerings. Both of them brought offerings from their earnings, and Cain brought from the fruits of the field something. But Abel brought the best from the flock, the first born and of their fat portion. And the Lord had regard for Abel and his offerings, but for Cain and his offering he had no regard. This made very angry and he did not think why the Lord not regard his offerings? This angriness led him to kill his own brother Abel.
So Cain was very angry, and his face fell. The Lord said to him, why are you angry, and why has your face fallen? If you do well, will you not accept? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door. Its desire is for you, but you must rule over it. From then the character of angriness follows from generation to generation, man to man, people to people, society to society. And angriness leads to fits of anger. Today the very angriness kills people in the families, societies and countries. From the very day the Lord warned Cain to change his character to do well, but he did not heed to God’s words. Angriness hid his face, and he took his own brother to his garden and he killed. Let us not give place to anger and jealousy in our heart and it will kill others and the same time it will kill our soul also. The psalmists says that “fret not yourself because of evil doers; be not envious of wrongdoers! Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his ways, over the man who carries out evil devices. Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath! Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil. [PS37:1,7&8] For they will soon, fade like the grass and wither like the green herbs. For the evil doers, shall be cut off but those who wait for the Lord shall inherit the land. What was the consequence of Cain’s anger?  He rose up and killed his brother. But his sins did not hide from the presence of God. Then the Lord said to Cain, “where is Abel your brother?” he said, I do not know; am I my brother’s keeper? And the Lord said what have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood is crying to me from the ground. And now you are cursed from the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand. When you work the ground it shall no longer yield to you its strength. You shall be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth. Cain said to the Lord, My punishment is greater than I can bear. Behold, you have driven me today away from the ground. And from your face I shall be hidden. I shall be fugitive and a wonderer on the earth and whoever finds me will kill me.”Now Coin prayed for his life and he confessed that if he has driven away from the face of earth and God will be how awesome. Our God is a God of grace and forgiving. And the Lord said to him, not so! If anyone kills Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him seven fold. And the Lord put a mark on Cain, lest anyone who found him should attack him.Dear friends our Lord God is gracious and ready to forgive our sins and put a mark of salvation, and that is his redemptive work. So let us not give place for angry and jealousy and it will drive away from this living place and the presences of God Let us pray like David, cast me not away from your presence and take not your Holy Spirit from me. Restore me the joy of salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit. Deliver me from blood guiltiness, o God, O God of my salvation, and my tongue will sing aloud of your righteousness.[PS51:11,12,14] Whenever you feel that you are getting angry , Kindly drink a mug full of water and calm down and say the prayer of David, surely god will restore the joy of salvation Paul says in Galatians5:19,20,24, Now the works of the flesh ar4e evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these will not inherit the kingdom of God. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Let us crucify the works of the flesh and with its passions and desires.
